They say that a dog is a man's best friend. And we couldn't agree more! In fact, these fur babies are not only our best friends, they are also our babies, our companion, our source of happiness, our anti-depressants when we are stressed, and our rock when we feel sad.
Personally, I couldn't imagine a life without my dogs. Just thinking about it makes me feel all teary, sad, and something just breaks inside whenever I think about spending a whole lifetime without these fur babies. Which is why I am always excited when I hear good news about these sweet fur babies.
When dog-loving cop Marcus Montgomery showed up at the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) one day, he was just responding to a routine call, nothing more. The people at the shelter were dealing with an issue with a former employee, and as it is his job, Officer Montgomery had quickly helped them to resolve the situation. However, when he was about to leave, one of the rescuers brought out a sleepy puppy.
The officer was hesitant to approach the pup at first, not because he is afraid of dogs or pit bulls such as this little angel, but because he knew that if he got a hold of him, he'd never let him go. Montgomery has a soft spot for pit bulls — and he already has one named Vader —so seeing this little nugget hit him right in the feels.
Try as he might, he just couldn't leave the shelter without him. By the time work was over for the day, Vader had a new little brother.
Kylo was left on the shelter's back porch one night. When rescuers came in the following morning, they heard him crying out back, so they rushed to warm him up. Once Montgomery heard Kylo's story, he knew that this pup deserved to be part of a loving family.
Officer Montgomery was worried about how Vader would react to the surprise addition, but as you can see, Kylo has since inserted himself into Vader's life. He's a pretty cute big brother, isn't he?
